It’s no secret that Jody and April love building homes. Building their first home in 1992, they developed a passion for creating beautiful homes. As they have grown their company, they strive to provide functional, energy efficient home plans in the very best communities. Classic Homes, LLC was the first Energy Star Builder in the Desoto County area and takes pride in providing families with not only beautiful but comfortable and energy efficient homes. It is not uncommon for Jody to get a text from a homeowner excited about their low utility bill.

It is our goal to continually go beyond basic standards and deliver the latest in innovation and design. Jody and April are committed to providing you with superior value, quality, and customer service. From pre-construction meetings through builder warranty, we constantly communicate with you during the entire process. Uncommon for the industry, our level of communication is typically reserved for high end custom home construction.

We also employ contractors who use new technologies in the areas of heat and air systems, appliances, construction supplies, insulation, and floor coverings to add long term value to your home.

The primary advantage to building your next home is the opportunity to have a place that meets the demands for your family. During this phase we like to learn more about your family, determine what your specific needs are regarding bedrooms, baths, living space, and kitchen requirements. We then review our base floors plans to determine if any would work for you. If not, we can reach out to several local architects to find the right floor plan. Next we review available home sites to find the perfect place to call home.

Once a home plan is chosen, we explore all the design features available so you can put your personal touches on your home. This is also where we determine if any plan modifications are necessary to make sure your home can function best for your family. Then we gather all this information together to develop an overall vision for your home.

We meet to review the construction plans, confirm all design features, discuss pricing, and make any final revisions until we come to a final agreement on building your home. All contract documents will then be drafted and executed.

Now comes the fun part! You will be given allowances for many of the design items for your home. This is the time to visit the different suppliers to select your exterior and interior finishes to make your vision become a reality. Construction will begin and you will be updated regularly with progress reports. We are always available to answer any questions during the construction process.
